Beatroute will have a stand at Thwaites Gala on Saturday 13 June (12:30 to 16:00). We are also planning to attend Kirkby in Furness Gala on 27 June. Come and visit us to learn more and share your views.
January 2026
Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (WWCT, formerly Sustrans), with support from Beatroute, submitted an application to the South Copeland Community Investment Fund for an optioneering study on two priority sections: Millom to Silecroft and Millom to The Green.
If funded, this stage will include route assessment, landowner engagement, engineering concept drawings, and early business case development. The goal is to build confidence for future construction funding.
December 2025
Following an earlier expression of interest, WWCT and Beatroute were invited to submit a full funding application for the same two priority sections: Millom to Silecroft and Millom to The Green.
